Simon became a father for the first time in his mid-50s in 2014 after he and his partner, Lauren Silverman, welcomed their bundle of joy.
Following their son’s birth, “The X Factor” judge took to X to share the news that his newborn son was named Eric, in honor of Simon’s late father. The announcement marked a sentimental shift for the famously sharp-tongued media mogul, who was clearly smitten with fatherhood from the start.

In an interview that same year, Simon declared, “I was born to be a dad.” However, when asked if he was surprised by the love he felt for baby Eric, he candidly revealed:
