President Donald Trump has reportedly signed close to 200 executive orders this year, with 25 issued on his first day back in office alone. According to the Federal Register, the total sits around 170, reflecting a highly active presidency.
One notable executive order signed on July 7 extends tariff modifications for most countries until August 1, excluding China. These tariffs are part of Trump’s broader economic strategy, aimed at revitalizing the American economy.
Despite these actions, a new poll by the Associated Press and NORC Center shows that many Americans feel Trump’s policies are not helping. In fact, 49% believe they have done more harm than good, while only 25% feel they’ve personally benefited.
Public dissatisfaction isn’t limited to Democrats. Even within the Republican base, there appears to be growing discontent with how Trump is managing the country and fulfilling campaign promises.
A major point of frustration involves the lack of transparency surrounding Jeffrey Epstein’s so-called “client list.” The FBI has stated that no incriminating list exists and that there’s no evidence Epstein blackmailed others.
Still, many Americans remain skeptical. A separate poll by The Economist and YouGov found that 67% of respondents believe the government is concealing information related to Epstein.
Adding fuel to the fire, Elon Musk has publicly supported the theory of a cover-up, stating on Twitter that the lack of prosecutions tied to Epstein is “obviously” suspicious.
