Former President Donald Trump recently claimed that President Joe Biden may have inserted his name into the Jeffrey Epstein files as political retaliation.
Speaking during a visit to Scotland on Monday, Trump suggested a conspiracy involving Biden, former FBI Director James Comey, and Attorney General Merrick Garland. He called them the “worst scum on Earth” and accused them of manipulating the Epstein case records.
Trump argued that since Biden’s team controlled the Department of Justice during his presidency, they could have altered or added to the Epstein files for political gain.
He expressed concern that false information could easily be planted in those documents to damage his reputation, especially since he was running against Biden in a presidential election.
Trump insisted that if there had been anything truly incriminating in the files, the Biden administration would have already made it public to discredit him.
He labeled the Biden administration his “enemy” and implied they had both the motive and opportunity to falsely implicate him.
Although Trump’s name does appear in the Epstein files, multiple reports have clarified that it is not linked to any illegal or inappropriate conduct.
