Princess Catherine and Queen Camilla Seen Sharing a Poignant Moment During Remembrance Sunday

Princess Catherine and Queen Camilla were spotted sharing a warm and light conversation during the Remembrance Sunday service on November 9, 2025. The event, attended by key members of the royal family, including King Charles III and Prince William, marked a national moment of reflection for those who lost their lives in conflict.

Royals Share Intimate Exchange amid National Tribute

The Princess of Wales and Queen Camilla joined the royal family as King Charles led the nation in a two-minute silence at the Cenotaph in London. Both dressed in elegant black attire, they sang the national anthem while watching the ceremony from the central balcony of the Foreign Office.

Body language expert Judi James commented on Camilla and Catherine’s touching exchange. She described how the two royals seemed to offer mutual support during the solemn occasion.

She said, “There was an exchange of what looked like warm chat between the present and future queens here with Camilla’s rather playful smile and side-eye appearing to make Catherine beam back down at her.”

Judi further explained, “Camilla looked happy to stand back a little, studying her order of service and even mouthing a silent ‘wow’ while Catherine stood as the more dominant royal, posing slightly in front and as a much more visibly poised figure, staring straight ahead and standing almost to attention.”

A Whispered Remark and a Shared Smile

According to Judi, the atmosphere was different from the previous years. She observed, “This was a slightly warmer and more relaxed royal box than usual, with what appeared to be less emphasis on royal protocol and pecking order.”

Jacqui Press also noted that the queen appeared visibly moved during the ceremony, uttering a quiet “oh wow” to Catherine as she watched the proceedings below.

Additionally, a lip-reading expert offered insight into the brief exchange between Catherine and Camilla during the ceremony. According to the analysis, a lighthearted remark from Catherine prompted a discreet reaction from the Queen, who lifted her order of service to cover her face.

Lip reader Jeremy Freeman said that the Princess of Wales, while smiling, turned toward Camilla and asked, “Did you see it?” In response, Camilla gave Princess Catherine a knowing glance and a subtle smile before concealing her mouth and expression behind the order of service as she offered a short reply.

It remains unclear what specifically drew their attention during the wreath-laying portion of the event. However, the pair were later seen continuing to share an amused exchange on the balcony.

Veterans in Their Final March

Aside from the royal interactions, this year’s Remembrance Sunday carried a deep emotional weight for many in attendance. Among the 10,000 veterans who took part in the march, only around 20 had served in World War II — six of them now aged 101.

For these remaining veterans, the ceremony was not a distant historical tribute but a moment of living memory. Many arrived in wheelchairs and were met with heartfelt applause from the gathered crowds. Those present recognized they were witnessing the final chapter of a generation that had lived through the war.

Sid Machin, 101, described it as an “emotional year” as he reflected on those who served alongside him in the Far East. “I will be thinking of everyone I served with and especially those that didn’t make it home,” said Sid.

The summer had also marked 80 years since Victory in Europe Day and Victory over Japan Day — milestones commemorating the end of World War II.

Veteran Honors Fallen and Firefighters

Donald Poole, also 101, who served with the Royal Army Ordnance Corpssaid he wanted to “pay tribute to the poor souls who have died in all conflicts,” acknowledging that he was “lucky” to still be here.

As others gathered to express gratitude to his generation, Donald offered his own thanks to the civilian services, “particularly the fire service who saved so many lives during the Blitz.”

His words served as a reminder that the Cenotaph commemoration honors not only military veterans but also those who served in other vital roles. Representatives from the police, fire brigades, ambulance services, transport sectors, and the coastguard all laid wreaths and joined the march in tribute.

A Wreath of Legacy

King Charles III, dressed in a field marshal’s uniform, placed a wreath identical to the one once laid by his grandfather, King George VI — featuring 41 paper poppies arranged on black leaves. The Remembrance service offered a moment of stillness amid the usual bustle of London.

The two-minute silence was observed, followed by the haunting notes of the Last Post echoing through Westminster in place of the city’s usual noise. The ceremony stood as a solemn pledge to honor the legacy and sacrifices of generations past.

In a moment rich with pageantry and protocol, the Princess of Wales may have offered a subtle glimpse into her inner thoughts with a small but revealing movement that attracted expert attention.

All eyes were on Windsor Castle as Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, received President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump on September 17, 2025.

But it wasn’t the handshake, the outfits, or even the grand setting that sparked intrigue. It was a quiet adjustment of Catherine’s handbag, seen by some as a window into her feelings.

A Warm Welcome and a Moment Observed

Donald and Melania landed on the royal estate in Marine One, stepping out to greet their hosts with practiced smiles and formal handshakes.

Catherine, dressed in an elegant maroon double-breasted coat and clutching a small handbag, smiled broadly as she extended her hand to the President. After their greeting, Donald turned to speak with William, while Catherine moved to greet Melania.

According to body language specialist Bruce Durham of Huddle Culture, Catherine noticed the American presidential pair holding hands as the group of four walked to the castle.

“You see Kate notices the closeness between Donald and Melania, but then what occurs is that her brain notices this and you’ll see there is a shift of her handbag in her hands,” Bruce told the Daily Mirror.

A Hidden Significance

The expert explained that this gesture made Catherine “uncomfortable enough,” and almost like she had to move closer to her husband.

However, Bruce noted that the years of royal protocol Catherine has followed have prevented her from making spontaneous gestures, including small ones like reaching out or moving nearer to William.

“All you get is a shift of the handbag, which indicates she wants to do it, but she regiments herself and recognises that spatial awareness,” he explained, referring to the moment Catherine discreetly transferred her handbag from her left hand to her right.

Still, the expert acknowledged that they all looked happy, and it was great to see how different couples in public positions are expected to behave.

A Compliment at First Glance

Elsewhere, lip-reader Jeremy Freeman turned his attention to the initial exchange between Donald and the Princess of Wales, right after the presidential couple stepped off the helicopter.

According to him, Donald greeted Catherine with immediate praise, one he delivered with unmistakable directness. “You’re so beautiful, so,” the President allegedly said, according to Jeremy.

Shortly after the exchange, William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, led the Trumps to Victoria House, where King Charles III and Queen Camilla waited to receive them, officially opening the scheduled events of this historic state visit.

And a moment right then quickly went viral. As previously reported, a picture-perfect exchange between Camilla, Catherine, and Melania has sparked furious online speculation and lit up social media with claims of royal tension, power moves, and an awkward snub caught on camera.

As the President and the King turned toward each other in conversation, the Queen began chatting casually with the First LadyThe Princess of Wales soon stepped in, joining the circle with a smile, engaging directly with Melania.

But then — blink and you’ll miss it — Camilla turned her head ever so slightly toward Catherine, and with a pointed sweep of her hand, appeared to signal Catherine to step away. The Princess seemed to take the hint immediately. She wrapped up her polite exchange, said a swift goodbye, and retreated beside William.

The Internet Erupts

It wasn’t long before the clip exploded online, sending royal watchers and body language experts into overdrive. One declared“Camilla is in charge and she makes sure Kate knows it,” while another viewer bluntly called it, “Rude!”

A third commenter delivered the knockout line, “She must have forgotten she was on camera!”

One angle of the encounter captured on social media showed the side eye Camilla gave to Catherine as she came over to talk to Melania Trump.

Another clip showed the moment the Queen motioned Catherine to leave. People Magazine weighed in on the viral moment, noting that while Camilla did not appear to use words, her hand gesture effectively signaled for Catherine to move away.

Body Language Expert Weighs In

Inbaal Honigman, a celebrity psychic and body language expert, who also offered a more profound observation of the moment, described the facial expressions of the women to UNILAD, saying, “Even though their facial expressions are similar across the board, with both Kate, Camilla and Melania all flashing neutral, calm smiles, their hands are very different [sic].”

Inbaal added, “Kate’s hands are in front of her, in a way that could be seen as slightly protective, but her fingers are widely splayed. This shows she feels at ease in the situation.”

“However, Melania’s hand is noticeably tight into her fist — that shows she may feel like a fish out of water, a bit tense in that conversation [sic],” the expert concluded.

Hierarchy or Happenstance? The Debate Rages On

Though some insist the move was nothing more than a logistical nudge in a crowded lineup, others are convinced it was a carefully choreographed power play.

Between the gilded rooms of Windsor Castle and the watchful eyes of the public, the First Lady used fashion as her language — a leather suit and a dramatic brim that turned every step into a statement, sparking questions of symbolism, strategy, and silent diplomacy.

In a scene straight from a royal fashion fantasy, First Lady Melania Trump stunned onlookers in a sultry, caramel-colored leather skirt suit as she joined Queen Camilla for a private and exclusive tour of Windsor Castle’s Royal Library on Thursday, September 18, 2025.

The former model-turned-First Lady arrived at the ancient seat of British monarchy cloaked in the buttery-soft designer leather, turning the hallowed halls into her personal runway as part of the U.S. state visit to Britain.

With its cinched silhouetterazor-sharp tailoring, and head-turning sheen, the Louis Vuitton ensemble clung to Melania’s statuesque figure like a glove — commanding attention with every step. Paired with nude heels and her signature blowout, the First Lady’s look was polished, unapologetically powerful, and impossible to ignore.

Meanwhile, Camilla, ever the emblem of regal restraint, opted for a traditional cream dress accented with subtle dark piping and an elegant pearl necklace. The contrast between the two women was palpable — modern glamor meets royal formality, under the shadow of centuries-old books and royal portraits.

Social Media Erupts over Melania’s Daring Look

The tan leather suit didn’t just spark whispers in the castle — it ignited a full-on firestorm online.“The detail on the side of the skirt is lovely. I bet that leather was buttery soft,” one fan swooned, clearly entranced by the texture and tailoring.

“It’s a stunning skirt suit! The colour, the detail on the skirt and jacket are beautiful,” another admirer gushed, echoing the wave of praise cascading through fashion forums.

One viewer declared“Wow. that suit is killer. the details are phenomenal [sic],” summing up what many saw as a high fashion knockout. But not all reactions were dripping in adoration, as some questioned the practicality and timing of the heavy ensemble, wondering if fashion came at the cost of comfort.

“It looks heavy to me. Is it cold there already? I think I’d be in a puddle of sweat wearing that…” one critic wrote, throwing a little shade at the sweltering style choice.

Still, many felt the daring outfit marked a new high point in Melania’s royal wardrobe“I love this. One of my favorite things she has worn, so far. Up close the details are crazy [sic],” a supporter insisted.

“That’s Melania’s best look of the trip. Fits her perfectly. Beautiful leather. And her hair looks perfect,” another fan enthused. And for some, it was the sheer unexpected drama of the look that left them floored.“Is she in a leather skirt suit???” one viewer exclaimed in disbelief.

‘Awkward Choreography’ Behind the Fashion Fairytale

But beyond the fashion frenzy, body language experts were watching closely — and what they saw wasn’t all smooth sailing.

“There was some awkwardness about the choreography, too. Although Camilla seemed to be chatting, there were fewer moments of emotional ‘prods’ like jokes or easygoing laughter during this outing,” said body language expert Judi James, pointing out a noticeable chill in the interactions between the First Lady and the Queen.

Still, the contrast was stark when Melania Trump was with the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, earlier in the day. “Kate’s non-verbal technique seems to be to ‘mirror, pace and lead,’ having first shown Melania her more formal and elegant side before busting out her relaxed and playful version to allow and encourage the First Lady to do the same,” Judi explained.

She added that Melania appeared noticeably more animated and at ease in Kate’s company, her reserved demeanor giving way to a lighter, more approachable side under the Princess’s easygoing presence.

A Signature Style – And No Plans to Change

According to the First Lady’s longtime stylist, Hervé Pierre, the power dressing is no accident. The stylist underlined Melania’s unflinching fashion identity when he told Hello! Magazine that:

“She gravitates towards strong tailoring, sleek looks and perfect cuts with no fuss. Her style has been consistent for years; there is no reason why she would change it. It will evolve, certainly, but the core of her look will remain in the same vein. She was always confident in her choices – I am just helping her [sic].”

The tour of the Royal Library was just one in a series of public appearances that have kept Melania — and her wardrobe — firmly in the spotlight during this high-profile trip.

Melania’s Dior Brim Steals the Spotlight as Critics Question Oversized Hat

On Wednesday, September 17, 2025, during a ceremonial welcome and Beating Retreat at Windsor Castle, the First Lady made waves in a wide-brimmed purple wool Dior hat paired with a charcoal gray skirt suit.

The dramatic hat concealed much of her face, prompting questions about symbolism and intent. Some saw it as a deliberate choice to deflect attention. One stunned observer wrote“Here’s Melania and her hat again. OMG! What kind of hat she’s wearing [sic]?” Another chimed in with admiration, “I love how her hat matches his tie today.”

And a third drew regal comparisons, “Wow Melania, that look is stunning. I love how the President’s tie matched her look. The same concept Princess Catherine dresses matches William’s tie. impeccable dressing sense. #PrinceandPrincessofWales #StatevisitUS [sic].”

Still, critics questioned the practicality. “There are more important things to talk about, but I just want to take a moment to say… you literally can’t see half of Melania’s face in that hat. All she can see is the brim and everyone else is talking to her chin [sic],” one commenter scoffed.

Another echoed the concern, “I’m not a fan of Melania’s hat. It’s Hard to see her face. Otherwise it’s all good [sic].” Some questioned the practicality of the oversized accessory, with one remarking, “Why is Melania wearing that enormous hat. She can barely see where she’s going. #StateVisit.”

First Lady’s Fashion Sparks Debate on Symbolism, Style, and Hidden Messages

Fashion observers argued the choice was anything but accidental. Celebrity stylist Marian Kwei and Vogue contributor said that “Melania’s hat is not by chance. The hat with the wide brim that hides her face is pointing to a stance where she wants all eyes on her husband and his agenda while [she is] here.”

Marian also noted that the purple hat deliberately mirrored Donald’s tie, framing it as a subtle gesture of alignment with her husband’s agenda during the state visit. Even her loyalty to Dior — a French label with historical prestige — was loaded with meaning.

Body language expert Judi further echoed the sentiment, noting the parallels with Melania’s inauguration hat. The expert noted:

“For a woman known for her beauty this shape of hat suggests a desire to hide. Royal women will tend to adore the flying saucer style too but will always wear the hat at an acute angle to ensure their faces are totally on display [sic].”

Whether it was the sleek leather skirt or the enigmatic Dior brim, Melania’s wardrobe during the state visit was more than just clothing — it was a blend of diplomacy, symbolism, and calculated elegance that kept the world talking.

Emmanuel Macron was welcomed to inspect members of the armed forces on July 8, 2025, at Windsor Castle in England. While the ceremony unfolded, the President appeared to step ahead of King Charles III, which many saw as a break in royal protocol.

Netizens reacted to the moment with mixed views. One remarked“No respect. No class.” Another added“And conversing with the King’s Guard, as though the King was not even there! Unbelievable.”

Others chimed in with stronger reactions.“You do not walk in front of the monarch! This is not hard stuff people!” wrote one person. Another claimed“Politicians like Macron only break royal protocol on purpose. Being rude to your hosts isn’t nice whether they’re royal or not.”

One comment read“Every time I see Macron I suffer from second hand embarrassment. Shouldn’t he know he is not supposed to walk in front of the King? Dude truly thinks he’s Napoleon😂.” Some were more solemn, with one stating“Just how much disrespect is our king going to be subjected to.” Another remarked“That was odd. Macron ignored Charles!”

Yet not all agreed, as one individual pointed out“But he was talking to the officer which the King seemed quite happy for him to do. Stop making something out of nothing.” Another also defended the scene, writing“King Charles is relaxed and doesn’t care about who walks in front of him❤️.”

Amid the divided opinions, a royal correspondent offered clarity on the situation. “This is perhaps custom, that the King, as the host, gives way to the foreign head of state which is the honored guest at Windsor Castle.”

This is not the first time a member of the French delegation has made headlines during a royal engagement. Back in June 2024, Brigitte Macron reportedly caused an awkward moment when she broke royal protocol by attempting to hold Queen Camilla’s hand during the D-Day memorial in Normandy.

Most recently, the First Lady’s husband found himself in the spotlight again after making a remark about the Queen’s stepson, Prince William.

During a formal state visit to the United Kingdom on July 8, 2025, French President Emmanuel Macron made a lighthearted comment about Prince William while speaking with King Charles III. The moment, unnoticed by many at the time, was revealed days later through lip-reading analysis.

Emmanuel and his wife, Brigitte Macron, were welcomed at the Royal Air Force (RAF) Northolt by William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, before joining King Charles and Queen Camilla in Windsor.

Upon arriving, the president and the British King exchanged a handshake and shared a brief laugh, while Brigitte greeted Camilla with the customary French “la bise,” the double cheek air kiss.

The men then turned to the women, with Charles kissing Brigitte’s hand and Emmanuel doing the same for the Queen, before engaging in a friendly conversation during which the French president frequently rested his hand on the King’s arm.

Once William and Catherine joined the group again, Emmanuel briefly placed a hand on Charles’s back and made a quiet observation while looking towards the Prince of Wales.

According to professional lip reader Nicola Hickling, the French president said, “He is incredibly tall.” The King, who once stood five foot ten, replied, “He is very tall. He’s six foot one, he is, ever so.”

A second later, William corrected them both with, “Actually, I’m six foot three.” Emmanuel, standing at five foot seven, added with a grin, “Unlike us, we’re short.”

Following the exchange, the party stood in formation for the French national anthem, surrounded by household cavalry members.

Afterward, Emmanuel and Charles rode together through Windsor in the 1902 State Landau. Behind them, Queen Camilla and Brigitte followed in the Semi-State Landau.

Meanwhile, Prince William and Catherine rode in the Ascot Landau alongside French Armed Forces Minister Sebastien Lecornu and Culture Minister Rachida Dati.

Additional French officials, including Ambassador Helene Duchene and General Fabien Mandon, traveled in two more Ascot Landau carriages.

The procession passed through Datchet Road, Thames Street, High Street, Park Street, Cambridge Gate, and George IV Gateway, concluding in the Quadrangle of Windsor Castle. Security teams were visible along the entire route, inspecting public areas and checking locations.

At the castle, the royal hosts staged a ceremonial welcome and inspection of the Guard of Honor. This visit marked a diplomatic milestone as Emmanuel became the first European leader to make a state visit to England since King Charles III’s coronation and the country’s departure from the European Union.

However, this wasn’t the only moment from the state visit that captured attention. As previously reported, when Emmanuel and Brigitte were greeted by William and Catherine at RAF Northolt, the French first lady complimented the Princess of Wales, according to a lip reader.

In video footage shared on YouTube, the French president is seen cheerfully clasping hands with William after exiting their private plane, before directing his attention to the Princess of Wales. He gently takes her hand and proceeds to give it an air kiss — a gesture met with smiles and polite conversation.

Meanwhile, Brigitte shared her own greetings with the Prince of Wales before moving on to the Princess. In a tender moment between the two women, Brigitte appeared to say something heartfelt — a detail now brought to light thanks to lip reader Jeremy Freeman.

According to him, Brigitte said, “Oh, so good to see you, you look great.” Moments earlier, her husband had expressed similar kindness, telling the royals, “Thank you, thank you very much, thank you… it’s good to see you.”

Though seemingly simple, the exchange took on deeper meaning in light of Catherine’s recent health journey. The 43-year-old princess, who first shared her cancer diagnosis in March of last year, recently opened up about her health, calling the whole ordeal “life-changing.”

In January this year, Catherine visited The Royal Marsden Hospital, where she was treated, and confirmed she was in remission.

Months later, Brigitte’s compliment to her resonates as more than just pleasantries — it acknowledged the strength and grace with which the princess has navigated such an ordeal.
